Arrival at Kathmandu Airport and Transfer to Hotel

Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in, you will have free time to relax or explore the lively streets of Thamel. In the evening, meet your trekking guide for a detailed trip briefing, equipment check, and final preparation before your Langtang Valley adventure begins.
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

After breakfast, begin a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to Langtang Valley. The journey follows winding mountain roads alongside the Trishuli River, passing terraced hillsides, traditional villages, waterfalls, and lush forests. After approximately 7–8 hours of driving, arrive at Syabrubesi and settle into your lodge while enjoying your first evening in the Himalayas.
Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

Your trek officially begins by crossing the Bhote Koshi River before entering the beautiful Langtang National Park. Follow the Langtang Khola through dense forests of oak, maple, bamboo, and rhododendron while crossing several suspension bridges. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as langur monkeys and colorful Himalayan birds as you gradually ascend to Lama Hotel, surrounded by peaceful forest.
Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village

Continue trekking through dense forests before the valley gradually opens into alpine meadows and yak pastures. Pass Ghoda Tabela, an old army checkpoint, where magnificent mountain views begin to appear. Along the way, you'll encounter Buddhist prayer wheels, chortens, mani walls, and traditional Tamang settlements before reaching the rebuilt Langtang Village, which was reconstructed after the 2015 earthquake.
Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa

Today\'s relatively short trek offers spectacular mountain scenery as you make your way toward Kyanjin Gompa. The trail passes stone-built villages, yak grazing fields, glaciers, and ancient Buddhist monuments while offering panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gangchempo, and surrounding peaks. Upon arrival, you will visit the famous monastery and local yak cheese factory before enjoying the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere.
Acclimatization Day at Kyanjin Gompa

Today is reserved for acclimatization and exploration. You may hike to Kyanjin Ri or the more challenging Tserko Ri for breathtaking panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, glaciers, and the surrounding Himalayan range. You can also visit the local monastery, explore the village, relax at your lodge, or simply enjoy the incredible mountain scenery while allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude.
Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

After breakfast, retrace your steps through Langtang Village and Ghoda Tabela while descending through beautiful forests back toward Lama Hotel. Descending allows you to enjoy different perspectives of the valley, rivers, waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks that accompanied you on the ascent. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.
Return to Syabrubesi

Continue descending through forests, crossing suspension bridges and following the Langtang Khola River until you reach Syabrubesi. This relaxing downhill trek provides another opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of Langtang National Park before concluding your trekking adventure. Celebrate your final evening in the mountains at your lodge.
Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

After breakfast, depart Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu through scenic mountain roads and traditional villages. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the comforts of the city. In the evening, Path2Asia hosts a farewell dinner where you can celebrate your successful Langtang Valley Trek and share memories with your guide and fellow trekkers. This is your last day of the trek. You may choose to add another trek and continue to travel with us or you can say your fairwell to us.
Transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for Final Departure

Today marks the conclusion of your unforgettable Langtang Valley Trek. Depending on your flight schedule, a Path2Asia representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. If you wish to extend your stay in Nepal or explore additional destinations such as Chitwan, Pokhara, Everest, or Annapurna, our team will be happy to assist with your travel plans.

FAQs

"Langtang Valley Trek - 10 Days" frequently asked questions

General Info

You will require a passport valid for 6 months from entry, a copy of travel insurance and flight tickets, and two passport-sized photos.

After you make the deposit, you will need to provide details like your arrival and departure date. Our staff members will then brief you with additional information related to the trek.

We advise booking your arrival and departure flights in advance for smooth travel. It is also recommended that you add a day or two additional days during your intended stay in case of flight cancellations or delays. Please be aware that we will not be responsible for any inconvenience related to international flights.

There are no hidden costs or fees if you travel solo. However, you will be charged accordingly if you don\'t want to join a group and would rather book a private trip.

The EBC Luxury Trek cost can range from USD 800 to USD 5000, depending on the itinerary, package, and service included.

Guide, Porter, and Trek Permits

Yes, hiring a guide is an integral part of a successful trek, even if you have previous trek experience. A guide\'s expertise will help create alternative plans and arrangements for unexpected occurrences.

Our guide and staff speak English; their speaking skills are based on field experiences rather than formal education. Even though they are not as fluent as native English speakers, they will be able to communicate effectively.

Hiring a porter(helper) is beneficial as they will be responsible for your luggage. This will allow you to hike freely without physically straining yourself. A porter(helper) will carry a maximum weight limit of 22 kg for every two travelers. If the weight limit exceeds, you will be charged accordingly.

Tipping is an act of expressing gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the guide and porter(helper). We suggest tipping based on the number of participants in a group and consider allocating at least 10% of the tip for every traveler.

You will need a Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit (NPR 3300), TIMS (Trekkers\' Information Management System) (NPR 2000), and a Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit, which costs NPR 3,000 per head for the trek. We will arrange these documents on your behalf.
