The ultimate express journey to the top of the world

Stage 1: Hotel Pickup and Transfer to Airport (6:00 – 6:30 am)

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu and escort you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport. Please be ready at least 10–15 minutes before the scheduled pickup. This is where your unforgettable helicopter journey begins.

Stage 2: Airport Formalities, Safety Briefing & Boarding (6:30 – 7:00 am)

After completing the check-in process, airline staff will provide a short flight briefing, including safety guidelines and conduct instructions. You’ll also meet your pilot for a quick introduction before boarding. Feel free to ask any last-minute questions for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Note: Flights generally depart between 6:30–7:00 am. However, takeoff may be delayed due to changing weather conditions. The crew will carefully evaluate the weather to ensure a safe flight. In case of delays or cancellations, your tour will be rescheduled. Safety is always our top priority.

Stage 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (7:00 – 8:00 am)

The helicopter takes off from Kathmandu, heading toward the famous Hillary Tenzing Airport in Lukla. The flight usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on weather.

On the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of lush valleys, Himalayan villages, rivers, and forests. Majestic peaks such as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Gauri Shankar, Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Shishapangma make the journey truly unforgettable.

Stage 4: Landing & Refueling at Lukla (8:00 – 8:15 am)

Upon landing, you’ll get your first glimpse into Sherpa culture and mountain life. Sherpa guides and porters can often be seen at Lukla, preparing for trekking groups.

The helicopter will refuel here for about 15 minutes. Use this time to capture photos of one of the world’s most challenging airports and soak in the lively atmosphere.

Weight Note: From Kathmandu to Lukla, the helicopter can carry up to 500 kg. However, from Lukla to Kala Patthar, the maximum is 250 kg. To balance weight, the group may be split into two shuttles between Lukla and Kala Patthar.

Stage 5: Lukla to Kala Patthar Flight (8:15 – 8:30 am)

A short 15-minute flight brings you to Kala Patthar, passing above Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Pheriche, Gorakshep, and Everest Base Camp. Along the way, enjoy unmatched views of glaciers, monasteries, bridges, and snow-capped peaks.

At 5,644 meters, Kala Patthar is renowned as the best viewpoint of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks — offering a more complete panorama than Everest Base Camp itself.

Stage 6: Scenic Stop at Kala Patthar (8:30 – 8:45 am)

This is the highlight of the journey. Surrounded by Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Changtse, and other mighty peaks, you’ll experience breathtaking mountain scenery like nowhere else.

Due to the high altitude (5,545+ m) and thin air, the stop is limited to around 10 minutes. The helicopter engine remains running during the halt to avoid restart issues in the extreme cold. Use this short but unforgettable time to capture amazing photographs and absorb the once-in-a-lifetime views.

Stage 7: Fly to Everest View Hotel, Syangboche (8:45 – 9:00 am)

From Kala Patthar, a 15-minute flight takes you to Syangboche, home to the iconic Everest View Hotel — one of the world’s highest luxury hotels. Along the way, enjoy striking aerial views of Khumbu Glacier, Gorakshep, and stunning Himalayan landscapes.

Stage 8: Breakfast at Everest View Hotel (9:00 – 9:30 am)

Indulge in a memorable breakfast at Everest View Hotel, with Mount Everest and Ama Dablam rising right before your eyes. Sipping coffee amidst the world’s highest peaks is an experience beyond imagination.

We stay here for about 30 minutes, giving you time to relax, enjoy the food, and take photos before heading back toward Lukla.

Stage 9: Return to Lukla for Refueling (9:30 – 10:00 am)

After breakfast, you’ll fly back to Lukla, once again soaking in the awe-inspiring Himalayan vistas.

The helicopter will stop for about 15 minutes to refuel. Take the opportunity for any final photos of Lukla’s famous airport and surrounding scenery.

Stage 10: Flight Back to Kathmandu (10:00 – 11:00 am)

The return flight follows the Himalayas back to Kathmandu, offering one last chance to admire the mountains and valleys from above. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes, ending with a smooth landing at the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport.

Stage 11: Transfer to Hotel (11:00 – 11:30 am)

Our representative will be waiting at the airport to drive you back to your hotel. This marks the conclusion of your Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour.

We hope this once-in-a-lifetime experience fills your heart with joy, adventure, and lifelong memories of the mighty Everest.

Guide, Porter, and Trek Permits

Yes, hiring a guide is an integral part of a successful trek, even if you have previous trek experience. A guide\'s expertise will help create alternative plans and arrangements for unexpected occurrences.

Our guide and staff speak English; their speaking skills are based on field experiences rather than formal education. Even though they are not as fluent as native English speakers, they will be able to communicate effectively.

Hiring a porter(helper) is beneficial as they will be responsible for your luggage. This will allow you to hike freely without physically straining yourself. A porter(helper) will carry a maximum weight limit of 22 kg for every two travelers. If the weight limit exceeds, you will be charged accordingly.

Tipping is an act of expressing gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the guide and porter(helper). We suggest tipping based on the number of participants in a group and consider allocating at least 10% of the tip for every traveler.

You will need a Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit (NPR 3300), TIMS (Trekkers\' Information Management System) (NPR 2000), and a Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit, which costs NPR 3,000 per head for the trek. We will arrange these documents on your behalf.
